New Release! Foundlings Is Now Available!
It’s been a lot of work, but I’m pleased to say I’ve reached the end of the road with Foundlings–all the research, drafting, revising, working with beta readers, revising some more, proofreading, editing, cover design, marketing, blogging, posting, elevator-pitching, and so on have all come together, and now the book is officially available in e-book format, following the paperback launch a couple weeks ago.
I am SO GRATEFUL to the people who pre-ordered the book. Those orders convert to sales today and (I hope) push the book up in its categories to allow for more visibility. Thank you for believing in this book, especially seeing as it’s such a departure for me in terms of genre and subject matter.
What’s that? You’ve missed my blog posts, haven’t liked my Facebook page, haven’t circled me on Google+, haven’t signed up for my newsletter? And by missing all those things you’ve missed my pre-launch carpet bombing?
That’s okay. Take a look at the blurb:
Derek Chandler had it all–the education, the promising future, the beautiful wife–but a tragic accident changed everything and his life now stands in ruins. Haunted by the ghosts of what might have been, Derek tries to lose himself in his new job, but what begins as a minor academic mystery soon unravels, leaving him with the burden of a second truncated life: that of long-vanished science fiction writer, Kichiro Nakamura.
Convinced that finding Kichiro is somehow the key to finding his own peace, Derek is drawn into a frantic search of modern and post-war Los Angeles as he tries to reconstruct the shattered kaleidoscope of American and Japanese cultures. And the key to everything just might be the beautiful–and very suspicious–tattoo artist, Yuki Kamikaze.
The early reviews from the paperback sales are solid, and I’m hoping that the ebook inspires a few more people to tell the world what they think of the book.
For now, I’m going to keep the book at the pre-order price, but in a few days it will go up to its regular price of $4.99, so if you haven’t grabbed a copy at the thank-you-early-readers price, there’s still time.
This book was a lot of fun to write, and I learned a lot along the way. I hope you enjoy reading it. I’d love to hear from you if you do (and even if you don’t).
