Cover Reveal–The Devil You Know
I’ve been a bit quiet the last couple of weeks–the semester came to an end at Fullerton College, and with it came a lot of work. At the same time, I’ve been working on getting the finishing touches put onto my next book. This one’s going to be different, dipping more into Urban Fantasy than Science Fiction, but with the noir twist that you’ll find in most of my work.
The new book should be released during the first week of June. I just ordered the proof copy from CreateSpace, so once I’ve looked it over, everything should be set for paperback and Kindle.
This new one is called The Devil You Know, and it follows Marie Doyle, a young war widow living in Hollywood in 1946. She’s tried to put her life back together since the war ended, but things are about to get difficult for her in the form of a cadre of demons intent on seducing young women and stealing their souls. When Marie discovers what they’ve been up to, she also realizes there’s no one else to stop the monsters, and she becomes a reluctant demon slayer.
It’s a fun book with more adult content than readers have seen in my previous books, but I’m hopeful that you’ll enjoy it. If you’d like to read a bit about how the book developed, you can find a post about it here.
I’ll get a sneak peek out in the next couple of days.
For now, here’s the cover. Part of the plot revolves around the main character’s love of reading Weird Tales and there’s a Margaret Brundage Weird Tales cover that figures prominently in the story, so when I found this Brundage image was in the public domain, I decided to adapt it for the cover of the new book.
Thanks for reading. Stay tuned for more info on the new release!
